The First Dynasty of Egypt and the Birth of a Civilization

Biographics: The First Pharaoh of Egypt (with disclaimer about how much is actually certain about this period)….The timelines of the first dynasty are filled with educated guesses rather than cold, hard truths. In pre-historic times, Egypt was divided into upper and lower regions, with different tribal leaders or kings. On a map, the upper region was the south and the lower region was the north because of the unusual northern flow of the Nile River. Around 3100 BC, Egypt was unified with one king in the early dynastic period. Either Narmer or Menes was the triumphant first conqueror and pharaoh. This might be the same person.
