Green Book: Black, White Companions From Very Different Backgrounds Bond By Traveling Through Segregated South of the 1960s

The Green Book won an Oscar for Best Picture 2018. It tells the story of an African American classical and jazz pianist and composer as he tours the South in the 1960s, driven by a working class white Italian from New York, and the friendship forged between them.

“So if I’m not black enough, and if I’m not white enough, and if I’m not man enough, then tell me Tony, what am I?” – Dr. Donald Walbridge Shirley “Green Book” (2018).
